JOBS

The latest data released by the Department of Labor shows that unemployment figures are at an all-time low of 3.8 percent, the lowest since records began in 2000. The number of available jobs in April rose 1 percent to 6.7 million from 6.6 million in March as employers have consistently added jobs over the last 92 months. INFRASTRUCTURE

Officials are coming to closer to finalizing plans to redesign Long Bridge, Virginia’s only rail connection to the D.C. area. Planners have narrowed down the selections to two proposals, both of which include building a new, two-track bridge alongside the existing structure. Read more at ARL Now.
