When looking for new employees to join The FlexPro Group, CEO Rose Cook says core values come first and skills come second. The company, which is a specialty consulting firm in the life sciences marketplace, has committed to making corporate culture a major part of its twice-yearly strategic planning meetings, and has undertaken many initiatives that have contributed to creating a strong and cohesive culture. One such initiative is The FlexPro Group’s Flex-Gift program, which has been up and running for two years. “The way it works is that FlexPro will make a donation on each employee’s behalf to a charity of THEIR own choosing. Some employees prefer large national and well-known organizations such as American Cancer Society, but others prefer more local organizations such as Philabundance or even a local church,” says Cook. FlexPro employees are also treated to company outings to see some Iron Pigs baseball, and to celebrate the holidays.
