The University City Science Center has launched a $3 million fundraising campaign to support its continued expansion following a planned move to 3675 Market St. Dubbed the Ignite Innovation campaign will allow the nonprofit to triple the size of its Quorum meeting space, expand programming and fund the Center’s STEM program for middle and high school students. Starting July 1st, Rothman Institute will become the first large independent physician group in Independence Blue Cross’ facilitated health networks model, which aims to improve the quality of patient care and lower the costs of care in the region through a collaborative approach that includes working with doctors, hospitals and health insurers. ENERGY

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation on Wednesday that will provide $300 million annually to the support the state’s nuclear energy industry in response to a please for help from Public Service Enterprise Group for its three nuclear plants, which supply about 40 percent of the state’s electricity. The Governor also signed a measure aimed at bolstering New Jersey’s renewable energy goals. Read more at Philly.com.
