The latest data released by the Department of Labor shows that unemployment figures are at an all-time low of 3.8 percent, the lowest since records began in 2000. The number of available jobs in April rose 1 percent to 6.7 million from 6.6 million in March as employers have consistently added jobs over the last 92 months. SMALL BUSINESS

The Senate approved a bill last week that will allow the Small Business Administration to guarantee more government-backed loans, increasing the annual ceiling for its 7(a) loan program by 15 percent from $18.7 billion to $23.5 billion. Read more at Washington’s Top News.
