TRANSIT

NYC will invest $300 million to add 350 new passenger ferries and improve infrastructure. Launched a year ago, NYC Ferry has seen 3.7 million passengers and demand is expected to increase to as high as 9 million by 2023. Read more at Crain’s New York.

 

STARTUPS

WeWork, Cushman & Wakefield and Avison Young have formed a data partnership with NYC-based PropTech startup Reonomy. The deal gives the companies access to Reonomy’s property data and proprietary analytics and follows a $16 million round of funding in the first quarter of 2018. Read more at BisNow.

 

TECHNOLOGY

The state of New York announced the third round of its GENIUS NY business accelerator program for companies that develop unmanned aerial, ground and marine systems.
