Mar-tech Startups Closes $80 Million Round
New York-based Appboy closed its Series E round of funding with $80 million in new financing led by Meritech Capital Partners, bringing its total capital raised to $850 million. The marketing-tech startup now does business as Braze and is known for its technology that sends out a single marketing message to users in hundreds of different languages based on location. GM Number One in The Word for Workplace Equality
Gender equity data and insight group Equileap released its second annual Global Report on Gender Equality last week and ranks General Motors No. 1 for workplace gender equality worldwide. The study looked at over 3,000 companies in 23 countries. GM scored high on the list due in part to having a female CEO and an equal number of women and men on its board of directors.
