Employees of McAdam have the freedom to take on multiple career paths, while controlling much of their own destiny within the company. The company’s financial advisors own their own practice, own their own client relationships and have unlimited upside to their compensation. Since being founded in 2008, the company has grown from one advisor in one office, to hundreds of advisors in five offices. For founder, principal and CEO Michael McAdam, this fast growth is representative of the opportunity available at the company, and he says it’s the employees and McAdam’s strong culture that have made such growth possible. To celebrate its people, McAdam runs its own recognition programs. And, new employees go through a three-year training program with other people who have started at the same time. McAdams says this program has created long-lasting friendships that are crucial to the company culture.
