According to a new study from EducatedDriver.org, Boston is the 29th worst among U.S. cities for the time residents spend commuting to work. The average Bostonian has a round-trip daily commute of 64 minutes, equating to an average 500 days spent commuting in their lifetime. Read more at the Boston Business Journal.
The U.S. unemployment rate declined for the 94th consecutive month in August at 3.9 percent, down from 7.3 percent five years ago. From July 2017 to July 2018, employment grew by 1.6 percent and by close to ten percent in the last five years. Read more at USA Today.
U.S. airlines are raising fares for business travelers and increasing fees across the board. Both JetBlue Airways and United Airlines have upped fees for a passenger’s first checked bag, with Delta and American Airlines expected to follow.
