The Labor Department announced jobless numbers for the last week of June. Initial state unemployment claims increased by 3,000 to a seasonally adjusted 231,000. Revised data from the week prior indicates there were 1,000 more than originally reported. Read more at Fox Business.

 

MERGERS

Boeing entered into a $4.75-billion joint venture whereby it will take an 80 percent stake of Brazilian planemaker Embraer’s commercial aircraft division.
