Boston-based Glasswing Ventures has closed its first investment fund with $112 million in investments. The women-led firm invests in tech startups at an early stage and is planning to work with 15 to 20 seed investments from its current fund. Read more at Xconomy.

Following the signing of a lease a lease for a 63,000-square-foot manufacturing and science lab at 33 New York Ave. in Framingham, Waltham-based Replimune Group announced it initial public offering with 6.7 million shares. HEALTHCARE

Cambridge-based Compass Therapeutics closed it Series A funding round with $132 million in investments. The biotech company plans to use the funds to support clinical trials of its cancer-treating antibodies. Read more at the Boston Business Journal.

 

INFLATION

The Labor Department announced that the consumer price index was up 0.1 percent in June versus the year prior, but inflation increased 2.9 percent from the same time last year, the largest annual gain since February 2012. Read more at Long Island Business News.
