CASA de Maryland’s Plans to Move

CASA de Maryland will break ground today on a $14 million renovation of the old Belnord Theater at 2706 Pulaski Highway to create a 16,000-square-foot location for its employment center, which serves 11,000 immigrant and minority city residents each year. When complete at the end of next year, the facility will feature a vocational training lab, employment placement and workforce development programs and after-school and youth leadership development programs. Merger Creates Mega-Million-Dollar Tech Company

L3 Technologies and Harris Corporation have entered into an all-stock merger agreement, leading to the creation of a $33.5-billion military technology company in a deal expected to close next year. The new company will be known as L3 Harris Technologies and combine each organizations’ military communications technology used for government defense systems. Read more at The Washington Post.
